The case is separate from the belt, which I did not realize ahead of time. The case has a belt clip on the back, which clips to a separate armband. The clip on the ipod case does not come off, but is able to be rotated 360 degrees. Fits my 2nd generation ipod perfectly. It does cover the data port, but has openings for the hold button and the headphone port. The materials are good quality. For the money, it's definitely worth it.

I LOVE my Action Jacket! This is actually my second one. The Gen2 Nano's have a sharper bottom edge so after a couple years of use, I wore a small hole through the bottom corner. It's still usable but I wanted a back-up just in case they quit making this size. I use it while biking, running, walking and just doing house and yard work. The clip makes it so versatile there's never been a time or place it didn't work for me. The totally adjustible arm band is perfect when the clip isn't appropriate. It also works when I use my Nike+ chip. Because the case won't accomodate the chip, I just clip it up-side-down in the armband and leave the velcro flap open. It's snug enough to be secure through miles of running. It's very weather resistant and keeps my Nano protected and in perfect condition both while using it and when stored in my purse. Even though the wheel is a tad bit less responsive through the plastic covering (mostly only when changing the volume) I have no problem changing songs- even while in motion. I would highly recommend this product to all active Nano junkies. Well worth the price.

I'm enjoying my DLO action jacket! I'm using it a lot with the clip for now, but the armband fits great. Easy to use the nano through the plastic screen cover.

I have a nano 1g. The jacket fits fine - snug but not annoyingly difficult to put on or take off. The plastic in the front of the case is protective but thin enough to work the track wheel. I previously had a silicone sleeve which covered the track wheel, and that was downright ridiculous to use.
Pros:
Fits well. Offers some protection against scratches and bumps. I like the swivelling belt clip. Arm band fits my ~15" arm and seems pretty versatile - I can also wear it on my forearm, so I assume it will fit many smaller arms, and I have a few inches to spare, so I think it will fit most but not all.
Cons:
It does cover the data port, but that is ok for me - I never use the data port at the same time that I need the velcro closed.
Depending on how it is positioned, sometimes it gets off kilter so that the plastic loop rotates and bunches up the elastic. It wasn't immediately uncomfortable this way, but I don't think I'd want it like that for a whole workout. Also depending on how it is positioned, I can see how it might rub a little. You just have to play around with it to find the best fit for you.

They must have fixed the problem with the 2nd Generation ipods not fitting because mine fit perfectly without any stretching or tugging. This is great for running/exercising. I was able to figure out how to make it fit my wrist (6.5") without cutting it or having any extra overhang. I am very pleased with the quality for the price! The case is neoprene with a clear plastic window. The strap is nylon (I think).
