Do not buy this armband, unless your iPod is still under warranty or you enjoy replacing your iPod frequently.
If you're running or doing anything that would create sweat, the iPod will get wet each time and eventually fry.

I'm a marathon runner, and I bought the Nike+ iPod pedometer to help keep track of distance. The design of this product when worn places the iPod and sensor against your skin, with easy access for sweat and condensation to make their way inside (and once the water is in, it's in for the rest of the run.
Today was the last straw - I'd noticed the condensation forming before, but ignored it. Today it built up to the point that it shorted out the sensor, interrupting a long run. The sensor didn't start working again until I got home and dried everything out, but that's the thing - the armband should be designed so that doesn't happen.
I'm getting rid of this armband and trying one that is a bit more water-resistant.

If you have issues or concerns with sweating with the Nike+ armband systems then consider the iFrogz ibagz as an alternative. It is water resistant, easy to operate, and your ipod remains completely dry.
The only con is that it must be manipulated for comfort. I simply tighten the lanyard around my arm and then place the Nike+ Armband over the bag once I've started running to keep it in place. Don't mess with the controls to often so lack of access is not an issue.
Average run is 7-10 miles and have no problems with the iBagz.Large Water Resistant Ibagz..

i cant believe nike did so bad with the design of this thing. the one for the old nano was great. please! nike guys! we want the old design with the size of the new nano....

I give this review 2 stars because it stays on well with the nice big velcro closure. Everything else stinks! If you sweat your nano gets wet. If its hot and you sweat you get condensation inside the plastic. The center button usually doesn't work, and neither does the click wheel.
