I have ports in my car and can connect my ipod directly to my speakers. I struggled along for a year with a Belken cord set that didn't plug in tightly--they kept falling out and had to be jiggled to keep the sound. I payed about $20 for them. This cord is amazing--fits tightly, no more playing around. I've got my tunes and am HAPPY.

Bought this product and it doesn't work like it suppose too. Yes it plus my iPod music on the stereo but only certain songs. Tried using it with my iPhone and it too only plays certain songs and it WONT charge your iPhone. Save your money and don't buy this product.....it really sucks.

P.S. Also take into consideration you have to make lots of room around the stereo to store the brain and cable

It was very easy to setup! The sound quality is great. Its a little hard at first but i just set up diffrent play list, so when i plug it in I just make sure to select the play list I want to hear. It is also nice that the cable is long enough so u can hide your ipod in your glove box or arm rest! There is one down fall but it really doesn't bother me, I have the itouch 2nd gen and it doesn't charge my battery.

I have to agree with a previous reviewer & am putting my review in to assist others who had to Google to find how to work this stupid thing the right way. It's a bit "unintuitive" - but is functional. I have a JVC unit that is setup similarly with JVC's little box, and it works awesome - much easier than this. So anyone deciding on JVC or Kenwood for iPod control, you may want to go the JVC route; its cheaper & easier to navigate. With that said - here's the "solution" to navigating:



Set your display preference for D-Display (that is Disk Name Display). This will allow you to view the Playing mode you're using with your iPod. Four basic modes are used: Playlists - PLY, Album - ALB, Artist - Art, and Genere - GEN. Once you've decided which mode you want to use, you can switch to displaying Track Title and you're set!



So, for me - who navigates the ipod almost exclusively by playlist, I have to set my display to D-Display - to find the "PLY" setting so that up & down on my control scrolls through my playslists. Eventually, I'll memorize what number playlist is which one and all, but until then, I keep the display set on D-Display, set my playlist; then, change the display back to T-Title so I can see the song titles that are currently playing. Unfortunately, there is no artist & song title...again - the JVC shows the album, artist, song title, genre, playlist, etc - relatively easily. Now that I have this all figured out - I can drink a couple beers & relax!

I bought this for my deck and it works great. My only problem was you need to reset the deck after you set the switches and plug it in. After that its great, you just have to learn how to use you controls on the deck to access the menus. I figured out a few work around s for me, like using Scan button to switch between Art, Playlist, etc. If you're smart enough it will work perfectly.

I like this speaker except at normal speaker sound level it is staticy. To keep from the static it is necessary to turn the iPod down so low I can't hear it. A Plus: nice long cord. Maybe I have a lemon, I don't know but I'm just going to use on my computer rather than a travel speaker for my pod.

While I don't see the value of the Cube for phone applications, it was perfect to sidestep my weak laptop speaker (Inspiron Mini 12). Battery or USB powered, it's been wonderful for Podcasts. Don't expect super hi-fi for bass-oriented music but for $10, it's damn-near disposable! Give it a shot...a great value!

A sleek, compact unit, with a fair share of class. WHAT'S USEFUL TO KNOW:

(1) When the unit is plugged in with the included power supply, it WILL charge an iPhone 3GS, iPod, iPod Nano, etc.

(2) The required 6 AAA batteries (not included) will retain the unit's memory (24 hour time clock ONLY), up to 20 FM stations, alarm settings, etc., but will NOT charge "iThings"

(3) The unit I purchased will accept my iPhone without the need of removing my protective case.

(4) When mounted, the phone COVERS half of the digital time display...if you need to know what time it is, remove the iPhone. (On the other hand, an iPod does NOT block the display.)

(5) When I plug in my iPhone, a message pops up: "This accessory is not designed to work with iPhone. Would you like to switch to Airport mode?" Simply select "NO"; the 3GS iPhone WILL still receive calls while plugged.

(6) The "Booming Lite" comes with a small remote (1 1/2" x 3 1/2"), used to set Time, Alarm, Sleep, Snooze (if you can find it in the dark ;-), Change FM stations, etc.

This speaker system is really nice for those of us who travel. THe system folds up and isn't more than 3/4" high which makes it convenient for throwing in a suitcase or briefcase. THe sound isn't super high end but for $80 that wasn't expected. I like that it comes with an AC adapter as well as the ability to run on batteries. It also came with a remote which was a bonus. I would recommend this product.

I love my iPod nano, or should i say "loved!" I had an iPod nano, the first generation for many years. Recently it just stopped working. I dont know what happened but all of a sudden when i went to turn it on, a black screen with a gray apple apeared then it all shut off. I tried to charge it, i gave it a while, then i pluged it in again, nothing else happened. I didnt try to get it repaired because i wanted an iPod touch now anyway, and the cost to send it in, get it repaired and get it back cost over one-hundred dollars, and may get repaired or not. other than that fact the ipod is great, it has three games pre-loaded onto it, it has lots of room for songs (four GB) and also has exras such as timers and such. It really is a great product. Although some of the latest models of iPods that came out have much more to offer. If you are considering getting one used, make sure it is working proper and go for it. You wont regret it!

Everything was good quality. Gave this as a Christmas gift. The software needed an update becasue itune is always having updates but it took about 2 minutes and everythings was good after that. You would have to download the update form the itunes website after you install the installation disk. For the buck I saved compared to the full price it was excellent. I would do it again.
